Pregnancy care program gets financial boost with fundraiser | palm beach
PALM BEACH GARDENS | A “Jazzin’ for Life” fundraising event for Catholic Charities’ Women’s Pregnancy Solutions program recently drew about 80 people to Palm Beach Gardens, home of Board Vice Chairman Terry Murphy and his wife. , Mary.
Women’s Pregnancy Solutions is the agency’s newest program, offering free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and advice on options to women through the use of two state-of-the-art mobile units. The aim is to inform women who might be inclined to abort about their pregnancy options, in the hope that they change their minds and hearts.
A fundraising challenge has been launched by an anonymous donor, who has pledged up to $10,000. As donations continue to pour in, the goal was reached on April 2, the day of the event, raising over $25,000 for Women’s Pregnancy Solutions.
“The generosity of donors enables the Women’s Pregnancy Solutions program to reach more pregnant women and save more lives,” said Carol Rodriguez, Acting Officer in Charge of Catholic Charities. “By partnering with this program, donors share in the abundant joy of knowing that countless little ones will live.”
Catholic Charities expressed gratitude for the assistance of the following people: Terry and Mary Murphy; the Women’s Pregnancy Solutions Advisory Committee and Kenda Peterson, Program Director; Deanna Herbst-Hoosac, Director of Respect Life Ministry; the Green Swing Band; and all volunteers and participants.
