DCF Proactive Grant Supports Pregnancy Care Center

The non-profit organization offers a multitude of free services to women and men.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF), Inc. recently awarded a proactive grant of $1,000 to the Pregnancy Care Center of Southeast Indiana, a nonprofit organization that provides a host of free services to women and to men.

In an ongoing effort to impact the Dearborn County community, DCF is awarding 15 proactive grants of $1,000 each throughout 2021 to charities that serve Dearborn County residents. Each of the Foundation’s 15 volunteer board members recommends a grant. The money comes from the Foundation’s unrestricted endowment funds, established by donors to provide the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the community over the years.

DCF Board Member Kevin Schafer recommended the $1,000 grant after being notified of the cancellation of the Pregnancy Care Center’s annual fundraiser due to COVID-19. “I’m happy to support the organization in this way,” Schafer said. “The work of the PCC has never been more important than it is today, and I hope this grant will help them positively touch more lives.”

The Centre, 62 Doughty Road, Lawrenceburg, emphasizes that all services are free and confidential. Pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, online parenting courses, material assistance, male mentoring and fatherhood programs are among the services provided with the attitude that “You are not alone. We care. and we will listen to you”.

All personal visits to the Pregnancy Care Center are by appointment. Call 812-537-4357 or text 812-302-2887. Also call 812-537-4357 to donate. The best way to access information online is to visit the Southeast Indiana Pregnancy Care Center.
