Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Center Hosts Annual Fall Fundraising Banquet – Virtually
The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Center provides compassionate support and education to individuals and families affected by an unexpected pregnancy and its effects. All CAPCC programs are free, confidential, and offered in a safe, non-judgmental environment, regardless of age, gender, race or religion.
Women, men and families can access a variety of support programs within the communities of Red Deer, Olds, Rocky Mountain House, Drumheller and Stettler. These include support for pregnancy options, male mentoring, baby and maternity clothing, postabortion support, support for past sexual abuse / sexual trauma, parenting programs, healthy relationship education and referrals to community resources.
The Red Deer location also has a maternity home for pregnant women and mothers and babies. It is a two-phase program providing a stimulating home, promoting a healthy pregnancy and positive parenting.
The Aerie is staffed 24/7 and can accommodate up to 11 young women and their infants. During their pregnancy, eligible residents enter Phase 1 of the program and move to Phase 2 when their baby is approximately six months old. Residents who continue to achieve program outcomes are encouraged to stay until their child is approximately two years old as they continue their education and / or employment efforts while strengthening their parenting skills and skills. of life.
Every dollar counts and will provide access to much-needed support and education for those facing an unexpected pregnancy.
